Promoting work-life balance from companies

Research Project financed by the Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad, 2016-2018

To promote the implication of men in childcare
To guarantee equal opportunities for men and women in company policies and culture
To provide men with time for work-life balance

To increase child well-being through joint care by mothers and fathers

Joint responsibility

Joint responsibility for work-life balance involves different actors. Companies facilitate men’s involvement in caregiving by offering them more time to care. The State regulates working hours, work schedules, teleworking and parental leave to favor joint responsibility for work-life balance. Men and women take joint responsibility for work-life balance. Public policies offer minimum income, benefits and services to enable families to balance work and personal life in order to assure child well-being.
